INTRODUCTION
SCADA has traditionally meant a window into the process of a plant and / or a method of gathering of data from devices in the field. Today, the focus is on integrating this process data into the actual business, and using it in real time. In addition to this, today’s emphasis is on using Open Standards, such as communication protocols (eg IEC 60870, DNP3 and TCP/IP) and ‘off-the-shelf’ hardware and software, as well as focusing on keeping the costs down. PLCs continue to gain in popularity. In fact, many SCADA applications use PLCs as the RTU of choice, when communicating with field devices. This comprehensive course covers the essentials of SCADA and PLC systems, which are often used in close association with each other.
SCADA TRAINING OBJECTIVE
After completing this course, the participants should be able to understand the concepts of SCADA Systems, build and configure the MTU and RTU modules, program the MTU and RTU, use sequential and PID controller implementation of MTU and RTU. Input/Output communication to get RTU data, set up polling and exception report of MTU/RTU, link the TU/RTU with Supervisory Computer and use Human Machine Interface (HMI) to optimize the operation of SCADA System.

H. MH Sapto Widodo, M.Sc was born in June 9th 1957. He got his education of master of science in electrical engineering, System Design and Technology, Fachhochschule Darmstadt, Germany. He also has followed some courses for improving his competencies in Indonesia and abroad. He is head of electrical department at P4TK BMTI Bandung atau TEDC Bandung(technical education development center) and he also as lecturer at the department. He has experiences in some consultants.
